Michio Ihara's 'Wind Tree" -- commissioned in 1970 for the International Sculpture Symposium -- in its original design was intended for a site in the Domain, Auckland. The revised design was erected in Q E II Square Auckland, but has been dismantled & has disappeared from public view --- photo - 1980 - by Sophie Ganley -- thanks to Jonathan Ganley for the link

This will be reinstalled in the next 6 months in the Wynward Quarter by the waterfront which is currently being redeveloped.
